A Limited-Scope Program Rooted in Integrity
Lauren Campoli is proud to offer a limited number of criminal defense cases each year through her internship and mentorship program, designed to create meaningful access to justice—while building the next generation of ethical, trial-ready defense attorneys.
This program reflects Campoli’s deep commitment to both mentorship and equity in the legal system. By accepting a small caseload on a sliding scale, Campoli ensures that quality legal representation remains within reach for individuals who may otherwise be priced out of a fair defense.

❝ Everyone deserves a defense. Everyone deserves a lawyer who listens. And lawyers deserve a mentor who teaches them how to do both. ❞
— Lauren Campoli
How the Program Works
Sliding Scale Representation
A select number of criminal defense clients are accepted each year based on financial need and case complexity.
Mentorship-Driven Model
Each case is staffed by Lauren Campoli and one or more carefully selected legal interns or early-career attorneys. Campoli leads strategy, courtroom advocacy, and all final legal work, while actively mentoring participants through real-world litigation.
Ethical Boundaries
While Campoli believes deeply in due process and the constitutional right to counsel, the program does not accept cases involving fraud or white-collar deception. This ensures alignment with Campoli’s broader mission to fight fraud and expose injustice in civil systems.
Our Mission
This is more than legal training. It’s a statement of values:
- That criminal justice should not be available only to the wealthy.
- That younger attorneys deserve opportunities to learn, in the courtroom, under guidance—not just in theory.
- That protecting the accused and protecting the truth are not mutually exclusive.
